About the Montesz Foundation

Maria Montessori

The Montesz foundation is founded in the Netherlands in the year 2004 by Eszter Strausz. The foundation is set up to support already existing bilingual Montessori schools and to make new bilingual Montessori schools.

In the year of 2006 we made the hungarian Montesz Foundation.

The foundation finds it highly important, that the schools in Hungary have a close contact with the same kind of schools in Holland. From them the Hungarian schools can get financially and professionally support.

In Holland there are a lot of schools working successfully with the Montessori method for over a 100 years. Twenty percent of all the primary schools and kindergartens are Montessori schools. These schools are successfully preparing there children for their further school career and for the rest of their lives.

Not only in Holland, but in whole West-Europe and the USA there are schools working with the Montessori-method. A lot of famous people went themselves to a Montessori school, or sent their children there, or supported the Montessori method in one way or the other. A couple of these people are listed here: Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Jeff Bezos, Friedrich Hundertwasser, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Mahatma Gandhi, Sigmund Freud, Jean Piaget and the Dalai Lama.
